Virgin Mobile gets on Google Wallet bandwagon with $25 promo

Virgin Mobile has become the latest wireless carrier to get behind the future of mobile commerce that is Google Wallet.  The provider shot out an email today advising that customers who pick up the new LG Optimus Elite can activate Google Wallet and score $ 25 credit in the process.  The catch is that you have to activate the service and Google prepaid card within seven (7) days of purchase and activation.  It's worth pointing out that this is a limited time promotion (May 18 through July18) … [Read more...]



Android 4.0 arrives May 21 for Amaze 4G at T-Mobile, Sensation 4G gets ICS today

T-Mobile has updated their support pages with an exact date to expect Ice Cream Sandwich for the HTC Amaze 4G. Previously the update was pegged as coming sometime in the next couple of weeks. Now users can look forward to Android 4.0 (but only Sense 3.6) on May 21st. In related news, the upgrade to ICS for the HTC Sensation 4G should begin pushing today, just as promised. T-Mobile Gets Ready For Second Round of Layoffs – 900 Employees To Lose Their Jobs

  T-Mobile is getting ready for a second round of job cuts in which the number 4 carrier in the US plans to layoff 900 more of their employees across the US. The layoffs follow 10 consecutive quarters of customer contract losses and will should help T-Mo hold apply that $ 4 billion they recently acquired from AT&T to help rollout their upcoming 4G LTE network. The other day we got our first looks a teaser of N.O.V.A 3 from Gameloft. I must have watched it at least a dozen times in awe. They always make playing the game look easier than it ever is. Android gets ported to C#, ditching Java

 XobotOS running on a Linux workstation The team over at Xamarin has worked hard to port the Java part of Android to C#, setting way for a new OS called XobotOS.
