  While it is true that it is better late than never, Motorola/T-Mobile has crossed the line with this one. It has been about a year and a half since the Motorola CLIQ 2 was announced, and it is now getting its Android 2.3 update.   A little over two months ago, AT&T released Gingerbread for the Samsung Infuse 4G. Turns out that it had some "issues," so the update was yanked, leaving many users with half-functional devices and others update-less. Sprint Resumes Gingerbread Rollout for LG Optimus S April 4th, Bugs Should Be Zapped

  When Sprint originally pushed Gingerbread to their army of LG Optimus S users, the update broke a lot more than it fixed or improved. All sorts of issues plagued users, including one where the phone would refuse to charge. That’s a pretty grave bug and Sprint was forced to pull the update and fix it. Though the international Optimus 3D from which it is based was treated to an Android 2.3 update months ago, AT&T’s LG Thrill 4G is just now getting its upgrade to Gingerbread.
