Could Google sell Motorola handset division to Huawei?

Quickly closing in on a year since Google announced plans to acquire Motorola Mobility the deal remains unclosed. The jury is still out on what Google plans to do with Motorola once they assume control of the company. Huawei Prism Pictured in Press Shot

The Huawei Prism rumor mill is gaining steam. Following a brief visit to the FCC, we’ve finally gotten our first real look at the device. Well, it’s not technically real. It’s a press shot, but they usually give us a good indication of what to expect. The device is as small as we’d expected, around the same size as the Huawei Sonic, and it looks pretty OK. We don’t expect the specs to impress anyone but there’s nothing to confirm or even speculate on at this point. Grab a … [Read more...]

Huawei Prism Hit the FCC

Huawei’s looking to come to town with another low-end device, it seems, as the Huawei Prism – model number U8651T – has passed the FCC. Its model number seems to position it close to the Huawei Sonic, a device which launched on T-Mobile last year. It had a 3.5 inch display, 512MB of RAM, Android 2.3 and more. We won’t make any assumptions on detailed specs but we don’t expect them to be much different from the Sonic. If you want to check the FCC listing out for yourself, … [Read more...]
