Verizon will give users time to evaluate their wireless plans before making drastic changes

Adnroidear

With Verizon doing away with unlimited data and getting rid of it for grandfathered users who upgrade after the shared, tiered plans are introduced this summer, many users were getting worried. They were worried for good reason. Verizon took some time to form an official statement to reassure customers that these changes won’t be sprung on them out of nowhere. Verizon will give their customers notice of the changes ahead of time to allow them to reevaluate their current contracts. In other … [Read more...]

Verizon says “No” to HTC One Series

Androidear

In past few years, Verizon brought a lot of devices to horizon and all of them were no doubt impressive devices. Like if we talk about Droid Incredible series, which is a very successful series, and they recently launched the successor which is known as Droid Incredible 4G LTE. But Verizon customers are holding their horses, because they are expecting that Verizon will be launching the HTC One X and One S as well, but it seems that this is not going to happen any time soon, or may be … [Read more...]

Oh Snap: Verizon Will End Unlimited Data Grandfathering If You Buy A 4G Phone From This Summer Onward

Androidear

We all knew it was coming: the death of unlimited. At Verizon, specifically. And this time, there's no escaping it. From this summer onward, when Verizon launches its shared bucket data plans for families, if you buy a 4G phone, you will be transferred to a tiered data plan - end of story. While current 4G phone owners with unlimited plans will be allowed to live out the duration of their remaining contracts with unlimited data, the next time you (or anyone on your plan, for that … [Read more...]

Verizon will not honor grandfathered unlimited data if you upgrade this summer onward

Adnroidear

We knew this was coming. When and how, we weren’t sure, but we know it was coming. I’m referring to Verizon’s plan to get rid of unlimited data for those who are grandfathered in. When Verizon originally axed unlimited data they honored standard grandfathered clauses that allowed people to keep their unlimited data. Even if you upgraded after that change you were able to keep your data. You can say goodbye to that soon. Verizon Wireless CFO Fran Shammo announced in a conference call … [Read more...]

Don’t expect an HTC One device from Verizon any time soon

Androidear

Verizon’s recently announced Droid Incredible 4G LTE closely resembles another Android smartphone from AT&T, the One S, but fans hoping for something a bit more like the critically-acclaimed One X are out of luck. AndroidAuthority caught up with HTC rep Jeff Gordon to see about the possibility of a true One series device on Big Red. His response? We won’t be seeing any of the “currently announced” HTC One devices on the carrier. The most powerful member of the One family won’t be … [Read more...]

Verizon Launching LTE In A Slew Of Cities In The Eastern US On The May 17

Androidear

As much as I complain about how ridiculous the monthly price of a good wireless plan is, I have to admit it does have its upsides. For AT&T and Verizon especially, that means that when they take in those huge profits, they pay part of it back out in the form of network upgrades and advancements. That's a big chunk of why their 4G (LTE) rollouts are ahead of the other two carriers, and part of why they're ahead of their European counterparts (the other big part, at least compared to Europe, … [Read more...]
