U.S. Cellular set to offer Huawei Ascend II next week


U.S. Cellular today announced that their next Android smartphone, the Huawei Ascend II, will be available online next week.  Also expected to hit their retail stores in early January, details include Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a 3.5-inch touch display, a 5-megapixel camera, 2GB SD card, and Swype's alternate keyboard. Amazon selling 1 million+ Kindle Fires a week as demand increases


Amazon shot out a press release yesterday which provided a bit of insight into how well the Kindle Fire was doing in terms of sales.  According to the release, Amazon has been selling more than one million of the Android-based tablets per week.  What's more, they have sold at this rate for three straight weeks.  Given that Amazon hasn't released anything this close to official yet we were excited to learn that it does seem to be on track to deliver on the forecasts.  Rumors and analysts … [Read more...]

Kyobo e-Reader features Mirasol display, expects 3 week battery life

ASUS Transformer Prime launching next week?


After the announcement of Ice Cream Sandwich, we saw the first ever smartphone running the OS and then later, ASUS revealed the first Android 4.0 powered tablet, the ASUS Transformer Prime, which is also the world's first Tegra 3 powered tablet.
